In 1998, Darren Huston took the Senior Vice President position at the Seattle based organization of Starbucks. He served in this post until 2003.

Huston served as the CEO of American giant Microsoft in Japan in 2005. By 2008, he began to run Microsoft’s Consumer and Online business as the company’s Corporate Vice President.
